What do you think will happen? What do you hope will happen?

I hope they bring back the Colosseum cups. In a cruel twist of fate, I'm wishing that Hades would summon older Zack as one of the bosses in the tournament. Maybe Cloud could even be there.

That and skateboards.

Storywise I don't really have many expectations for what I hope to happen, I'm just hoping Square can wow me (really hoping they can with this since they haven't in a good while)


Things I'm mostly hoping for are gameplay related:

- I'm hoping for a better Lilo & Stitch level since I didn't really like the last one. Possibly one set in Hawaii, which would probably help it feel more 'Lilo & Stitch'.

- Frozen will likely be a level, that's pretty much guaranteed...So throw a Wreck-it-Ralph level in there! I'm not expecting them to use Mario or Sonic in the level since those aren't Disney or Square property, but Wreck-it-Ralph has enough stuff on its own to get a level out of it. Failing this, a Ralph + Vanellope summon. Maybe it could be Vanellope driving her car whilst Ralph sits in it smashing the floor.

- Absolutely no Star Wars or Marvel. I'm aware that Disney owns them and I'm a massive Marvel fanboy (Star Wars...Not so much) but they just don't belong in Kingdom Hearts in my opinion.
Not to mention there are still a lot of Disney franchises that still haven't been touched on yet, with a few only having scratched the surface. Let's get those out the way before thinking about Star Wars and Marvel...Hell, let's get some bloody Disney/Pixar stuff in the game first!
But as a whole, keep it to original Disney own stuff.


- A bit more involvement from Square in general.
'Leon', Yuffie, Aries and Cid are pretty much the only real characters they use, with Cloud and Sephiroth getting thrown in as a fight for fan service. Aside from that, we don't really see much of other square characters.
There are other appearances from characters but it's usually pretty unimportant to the plot and is VERY brief. I would definitely like to see more Rikku (bias, she's my favorite FF character) but I would also like to see a bit more of Square in general since Final Fantasy isn't their only worthwhile franchise (kind of like they did in KH:3DDD with TWEWY). I don't expect to see them have an entire level, just more involvement from other characters and more variety in who/what they use.

Hah seeing Star Wars or marvel in Kingdom Hearts would be so funny. I never would have predicted such an outcome.

I can't think of any Kingdom Hearts game that cloud is not in, I think he is overused and needs a bit of a break.

Didn't they say they wouldn't include Frozen already? It would be too bad if they didn't, it has a lot of potential for an area.

Yeah I agree that BH6 would be pretty cool. I highly doubt it would be included, but anything is possible at this point in KH.

I'm actually kind of upset that it looks good and I want to play it...? Haha. I gave up on the Kingdom Hearts franchise after playing 1 and 2 because I worried they were going to do that thing where they milk it until it's dead and bears little resemblence to its original self - given the amount of other Kingdom Hearts games that came out, I thought that's what they were up to. I still haven't touched any of the ones released for handhelds and I don't know if I ever will, so I'm not sure the story for 3 will even make sense to me if I do decide to pick it up. All I know is what I gleaned from the first two PS2 titles.

That said, it would be pretty damn cool to see a Wreck It Ralph level (as much as I hate racing minigames, you know a Sugar Rush area is ripe with potential for those, and the KH series did love its minigames last I checked) or some Big Hero 6 stuff. Especially because, while I loved the movie, it felt like it ended right when it was REALLY getting going - like, after that, is there really a need for the BH6 gang to stay "heroes"? Why not give them a reason in KH3? Just thinking...

I want to play a Kingdom Hearts game that doesn't make me feel the way I felt whilst playing FF Crisis Core, if that makes sense. Remember the thing I said about "milking it"? Felt soulless and half-arsed to me. KH3 doesn't LOOK like it'll be one of those, but I also worry it'll be a string of cameos without much substance since everyone's going to buy it whether they put effort forth or not. I'm cynical, but my interest is also piqued, so I dunno.

If this was to happen I don't see it being anything but an optional side objective or postgame. Kingdom hearts focuses on worlds that are Disney themed with Final Fantasy characters here and there, rather than vice versa. (though I have no recollection of what Disney series Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden came from, so I guess that could be "non-Disney" world?).

It would be neat though if they had more bosses like that.

What logic are you using here exactly? Because it's 'realistic'?

Pirates of the Caribbean is actually a Disney thing, Star Wars and Marvel aren't. Why use non-Disney franchises when there's still so much Disney stuff they haven't even touched upon?

Square and Disney is what it says on the tin...Not Square, Disney and whatever else Disney decides they want to buy out. We didn't have a Power Rangers level, did we? What if they bought out 'The Evil Dead' franchise? Should they then have a 'The Evil Dead' level?

I always felt like I would like at least one Final Fantasy world but I dunno...It always seemed like Final Fantasy games were just 'too big' to condense into just one level in Kingdom Hearts.

Wouldn't mind if they tried though.
