Hers is the only shop I don't have in my shopping district so I haven't managed 20 readings yet but I must be close. So I'm wondering once you have 20 readings how does she approach you about her shop? I mean does she ask you right after that last reading? Does she show up at your house before she leaves or the next day? Or do you run into her in the shopping district? Just wanna know what to be looking for. Thanks
As you leave her tent, she will tell you that she thinks that your town needs more fortune guidance so she will tell Isabelle about her plan to open up a shop. Then you go to Town Hall and you'll find the shop under the PWPs.
If you are playing as the mayor character and you get the 20th reading, as you leave Katrina will say something about having her shop on Main Street. It ends up as a PWP that you have to go to Isabelle and then pay for it at the train station Lloyd. fyi... After her shop is on Main Street, to get the Celebration hat and then the Tingle hood from Katrina (10,000 bells each), a single player has to get 20 additional readings for the first hat and another 20 readings for the second hat, but at least you can now go once a day to get a reading.
Thanks for the info guys, Rendra thanks for the info on the hats, I had no idea how to get them from her until now. If she ever opens her shop I'll be sure to get a reading everyday.
I was under the assumption that to get the tingle hood/celebration hat, you just have to have bad luck for the day and not have your lucky item on...? And then randomly she might offer to sell you either hat?
True, you can't already have your lucky item on and you must have at least 10,000 in your pocket, but I kept track and it was 20 & 20. I have 2 games and would go see Katrina in each game on the same day, and they both got offered the Celebration hat on the same day and the Tingle Hood on the same day.
I don't think that getting the Celebration Hat and the Tingle hood is by getting 20 more additional readings. Once Katrina opened up her shop, I hardly ever went there. Not enough for 20 times. But when I noticed that I had bad luck that day, I went to her and she asked if I wanted to buy one of the lucky hats.
