Okay, so Katrina's in town today. I got my fortune from her, and she said that my lucky item was glasses.

I have glasses with me. The question is, do I need to be wearing them, or do they need to be sitting in my inventory? I got friendship luck, so I'm gonna pretty much spam-talk to Skye and Mathilda.
