I just went to Gamestop and I accidentally did an impulse buy. I bought a new copy of Animal Crossing City Folk (I sold that game over 4 years ago) and another copy of New Leaf. I am sort of regretting buying New Leaf, because it was pricey and barely sells for anything at Gamestop... Any recommendations of what I should do with the town? I was thinking cycling, but that gets too boring. I only own 1 3DS as well, so no duping...

Yeah, try seeing what their refund policy is. If the game is still sealed, keep it that way so that it's easier to get a refund and, if need be, you'll earn more for selling it second-hand.
You could make a themed town or a giveaway town? I always personally wanted to make a trashy town with the drilling rig, lots of weeds, dead trees, rafflesia, no flowers, etc and name it something like Rock Bottom (if only it would fit!)

And ik this sounds so off topic but wouldn't it be cool if I just made a new town, decorated it to make it look pretty, then make 3 characters in this order:
