Japanese Amiibo cards on North American HHD and Amiibo Festival

Is it possible to use my Japenese Series 1 and 2 Amiibo cards on my North American games? I got them for Christmas and kept looking for an answer.

Yep! Amiibo and Amiibo cards are not region locked.

No. They'll be in English. Not sure where you heard that.

It only displays names in whatever language your system is in- change it to like Spanish, and they're all going to appear in Spanish! They're all the same chips, so localization controls how they read in those versions.
