I restarted my file (for reasons) and have just reached 5 islanders. I wasn't intending to keep my first 5 as I want islanders with their original homes so I was fine with letting RNG pick them. I just realized there is a pattern to all the islanders the game has given me so far:
Starting uchi: Agnes (pig) || Starting jock: Dom (sheep)
Before I finished placing the 3 house plots down, I made 2 trips to the mystery islands in the hopes of getting bamboo and/or hybrids. There I encountered the following:
Normal: Annalisa (anteater) || Peppy: Anabelle (anteater)
I didn't invite them so the game gave me the following:
1st lazy: Deli (monkey) || 1st peppy: Agent S (squirrel) || 1st normal: Ava (chicken)
Every one of these islanders is listed FIRST (by name) in their respective species! This can't just be a freaky coincidence?
If this pattern is true, then my next islander from the campsite should be Beardo (bear) as he is the only one who is listed first in his species and who also fits the criteria by being smug. However, there have been reports of the first camper being other personalities, in which case I would get someone from the following pool:
Alfonso (alligator/lazy) || Angus (bull/cranky) || Barold (cub/lazy) || Bea (dog/normal) || Amelia (eagle/snooty)
Camo (frog/cranky) || Al (gorilla/lazy) || Bertha (hippo/normal) || Astrid (kangaroo/snooty) || Bud (lion/jock)
Anicotti (mouse/peppy) || Blanche (ostrich/snooty) || Hornsby (rhino/lazy) || Admiral (bird/cranky) || Ankha (cat/snooty)
Naomi (cow/snooty) || Bam (deer/jock) || Bill (duck/jock) || Axel (elephant/jock) || Billy (goat/jock) || Apple (hamster/peppy)
