Lilac Bay was settled on March 20, 2020 by April, Fuchsia, and Lyman. The island is named for the near-constant smell of lilacs that drifts in from the sea. The island is based in the Central Time Zone. Time travel is occasionally utilized, but only in the form of skipping one day ahead and then returning to the correct date to speed up construction times or mail delivery. The decorating style of the island is minimalist.

Lilac Bay is currently a work in progress. This is the most recent version of the official map of Lilac Bay

Nestled into a cliffside near the Lilac Bay Museum is Lilac Bay's playground area. The playground features a climbing wall, a slide, a playground gym, a sandbox, a tire toy, several springy horses, and a hopscotch court. There is a handy drinking fountain nearby and landscaping is currently in progress.

Reserving one more post - you can feel free to post now!

May 2, 2020: Today's main goal is to TT around to get Fuchsia or Tia to move out so I can go island hopping for Sylvana or Audie. It's been almost a month since anyone moved out and I'm ready for some new faces. Additionally, I plan to do some landscaping in my playground area and potentially redo my entrance area.

Update 1: Tia has asked to move! I have agreed to let her. She will be moving to a friend's town. About to start island hopping! I have about 50 NMT to use, and if I don't find Sylvana or Audie, I will be inviting Diana via Amiibo (she has already camped here twice)

Really nice thread, I have Diana in my island. Don't know how long it would taker for her to move but I would really like my island to be filled with all rodents at one point so I don't really mind having her leave.

This will be my first Island Hopping Log! Essentially, whenever I go searching for a new villager, I will post one of these to track who I run into on each island (as well as any DIY recipes I find!)!

May 2, 2020 - Island Hopping Log
Goal:
Sylvana or Audie

Island 1 - Muffy the Uchi sheep. No DIY recipe.
Island 2 - Olive the Normal cub. Iron Closet DIY recipe from Sylvia, which I already have.
Island 3 - Elvis the Cranky lion. No DIY, but I was glad to find an island full of oranges! I made sure to stock up for villager gifts!
Island 4 - Soleil the Snooty hamster. No DIY.
Island 5 - Bettina the Normal mouse. Bamboo Sphere DIY recipe from Fauna, which I already have.
Island 6 - Molly the Normal duck. I had her in my New Leaf town for awhile and she's so cute. But I already have two Normals and I am not taking another one unless it's Sylvana. Grass Skirt DIY recipe from Gala, which is a new one!
Island 7 - Bella the Peppy mouse. No DIY.
Island 8 - Rhonda the Normal rhino. No DIY.
Island 9 - Tad the Jock frog. No DIY
Island 10 - Wade the Lazy penguin. This one was super tempting, but I managed to resist. No DIY, but another island of oranges. Picked up more to use as gifts.
Island 11 - Graham the Smug hamster. No DIY.
Island 12 - Hopper the Cranky penguin. A Cosmos Wreath DIY from Cashmere, which was a new one.
Island 13 - Mott the Jock lion. No DIY.
Island 14 - Tank the Jock rhino. No DIY.
Island 15 - Admiral the Cranky bird. No DIY.
Island 16 - Vic the Cranky bull. A Wooden Chest DIY recipe from Elmer, which I already have.
Island 17 - Rhonda the Normal rhino. Again. No DIY.
Island 18 - Avery the Cranky eagle. No DIY.
Island 19 - Plucky the Uchi chicken. No DIY.
Island 20 - Benjamin the Lazy dog. A Grass Skirt DIY from Ava, but I got one of those on island 6.
Island 21 - Tammi the Peppy monkey. No DIY.
Island 22 - Chow the Cranky bear. No DIY.
Island 23 - Apollo the Cranky eagle. No DIY. Money rock island
Island 24 - Groucho the Cranky bear. No DIY.
Island 25 - Leopold the Smug lion. No DIY.

At this point, I found someone on Twitter with Sylvana in boxes, so I snapped her up! Welcome to Lilac Bay, Sylvana!

May 3, 2020: Leif and Daisy Mae are both in town this morning. My newest resident, Sylvana, is also settling in. Today I plan to rework my entrance, since I didn't get to it yesterday. I've also chosen to remove Audie from my dream villager list. I still like her, and if she ends up camping I may invite her, but I'm so happy having Bianca as my peppy, and I think if I got a second Peppy villager I would prefer Maddie, Cheri, Flora, or keeping Pippy. This leaves Diana and maybe Goldie as my only remaining dream villagers.

Update: I'm very happy with my entrance. This is one area where I went a little bit overboard, not really sticking to my "minimal" preference. The bushes are hydrangea bushes, and the top of the waterfalls are decorated with purple hyacinths.

May 4, 2020: Saharah is in town today. I got a yellow small round mat, natural wooden deck rug, blue wavy rug, street-art wall, and palace tile from her, and exchanged tickets for a ringside seating. Not sure how much I'll get done today, as I have IRL school stuff to concentrate on. I do hope to do more landscaping and rearranging, as well as doing some hunting for patterns online.

May 5, 2020: Today I have more IRL school stuff to work on (two more projects and a final to go until graduation!) so ACNH is on the back burner again. However, I hope to get more pictures of island areas uploaded in this journal. Kicks is in town today as well, but he doesn't have anything I'm too interested in.

Update 1: Fuchsia asked to move! I told her she could, and immediately hopped over to the Nook Miles machine at Resident Services, and...

I had planned ahead and scanned her Amiibo twice already, so that I could easily invite her if someone moved when I didn't have any NMT! I now officially have all six of my permanent villagers and can rotate through the other four spots until I find someone I like enough to keep!

Update 2: Hanging out with my BFF!

Love you always, Kiki!

May 6, 2020: Today was a slow day as I had school stuff to do (your girl wrote a 12 page paper on nail polish as a final project for my capstone marketing class). I did get a few things accomplished, however! I moved my museum so I can work on redoing the entrance, I created a small library nook near my entrance, and I revamped a few villager yards! I still have no idea what to do for Octavian's yard, since I already have a zen-themed area. I'm also reconsidering my permanent villager list. I LOVE Bianca, Diana, and Octavian, but part of me really wants to explore more villagers and I don't want to get myself into a hole so early. In addition, I do have all three of their Amiibos, so I could easily get them back. I will probably hold on to Bianca, but we'll see about Diana and Octavian once I get their pictures. Kiki, Ribbot, and Sylvana are all 100% staying, however.

Tomorrow, I have my final final to take, but I plan to finish the museum entrance, work on my market area, and hopefully add in some of my favorite screenshots and videos.

May 8, 2020: No entry yesterday, as a busy day IRL. Now that I'm officially done with school for a few weeks, I have even more time to dedicate to Animal Crossing! Today I am definitely going to upload screenshots of my completed areas. Then I plan to watch some island tours on YouTube to get some idea as to what to do with a giant empty space I have on my island.

Redd is in town today. I bought a famous painting from him. If it's real (which i'm 99% sure it is) it will be my fifth donation to the art exhibit. I also hope to move my orchard today if I have enough fruit to do it.

ISLAND HOPPING TIME
I have a whopping 400 NMT to use! Not sure who I want to find the most. Audie is top choice, but I could go for Julia, Ketchup, or Sherb too. We'll see.
