I’ve been playing since the game came out and not once have I seen any of my villagers fight. Am I just picking villagers that are compatible? It might sound weird but I wanna see some conflict in my island. I think it’s funny when I see videos of villagers stomping around all mad. How often do your villagers fight or is it really not that common?

It’s randomly assigned, so any villager can get it. It mainly exists so you can get extra friendship points once a month or so by saying “I understand” when they complain to you. If you want villagers to stomp around mad, you can gift them trash or open their present you were supposed to deliver (Gift giver only), but it makes me sad to think you’d want to see them angry

Initially, I never got any arguments or fights, but I’ve had a couple in the last few months some villagers came and went.

Some of those are really funny. I guess there are levels to the arguments. Some are just the villager complaining or being sassy/rude, which I’ve seen. The ones I have yet to see are where both villagers end up stomping away from each other.

; I feel bad but I actually like watching them stomp around after having an argument - especially when it’s raining. They look so cute with their umbrella bobbing around as they kinda thrash about.When I first started playing the game, I did some research on which personalities go better with each other and arranged my houses based on that. I’m not sure if that contributed to them not ever arguing; probably not since even the ones that aren’t compatible are hanging out on the plaza or at each other’s house all the time.

Cherry and Poncho are always fighting and I'm always asked to deliver gifts to help them get on better terms. I swear if I wasn't around to mediate this dysfunctional relationship they probably would have destroyed the entire island by now. They're my two starter villagers so it makes sense they would be close, I just didn't expect it to be in this way.
The other day I witnessed Benjamin have the cutest arguement with Stitches. Stitches had indeed made Benjamin forget how to make his dream sandwich after going on about his favourite sandwiches. I mean stitches was oblivious, Benjamin - totally adorable in his little huff over a sandwich from a dream.... drama hey!
My islanders don't very often do the stomping thing so much anymore. There are often gifts because apparently they had fallen out but we dont see the main event!

I've only seen it once I think. Tia got mad at Muffy for spoiling a plot twist in a book. High drama. She calmed down pretty quickly once I agreed with her.

I think I've only seen my villagers actually get mad and do the angry waddle a few times, and that was in the beginning of the game. My current villagers all get along well now and I don't think I've had any fights at all in the last several months.
