I just had the same problem as well... I followed a guide but it was wrong. It's absolutely ridiculous how specific the requirements have to be. I'm going to have to move out Julian and another villager so I can rebuild the bridge. I'll keep them in my cycle town until I cycle through 16 villagers and rebuild my bridge in its proper spot. It's very frustrating and saddening since I had just got all my dreamies placed and I was ready to work on projects.

I wish there was a simple way to remodel a bridge without having to tear it down. That function really should have been included. Hopefully it will be in future games. :\

My Police Station is between the stone plaza thingy by the train station and a pond. It took sooooooooooo long to place it because Isabelle kept saying it was too close to "something else". It would have been a lot more helpful if she would have said which thing it was too close to. I spent what seemed like forever nudging her this way and that way til I finally found the "magic spot" that was just right.

when she usually says "something else" it usually means the plaza, the train station or Re-tail... she will tell you if its close to a body of water

i definitely understand the frustration of her not letting you build PWPs in certain places (so many wonderful layout ideas down the drain for me ;- i but i don't really think it's reasonable to say isabelle needs to die.. i mean she's just programmed to be this way.
but yeah, that sucks you can't build your bridge in any good spot now my sister had planned to build a bridge in this great spot, but then two villagers randomly moved in, right on each side of where she wanted her bridge! i have to agree this game kinda sucks sometimes.
