Isabelle, why are you so stubborn

I wanted all three of my town bridges to be Modern, because I decided to go with a modern town theme. So I demolished the starting Cobblestone Bridge after building two Modern ones farther down the stream.

Only problem is, there's a trio of houses all around the northern part of the river, so Isabelle won't let me put any bridges back around where the first one was. Two of the villagers I was planning on getting rid of anyway, but the third (and most inconveniently-placed) one is Chief, who I wanted to keep. Now I need to decide between not having ANY bridges on the northern half of the river (and thus having to make a long walk if I need to visit Chief or anyone else that decides to move in that area) or getting rid of a favorite villager.

I am most displeased with Nintendo's programmers at the moment.

FYI, here's a shot at the area and map.

Chief's house is the one just across the river from where I'm standing (right at the spot where the Cobblestone Bridge was), and Isabelle won't let me put a bridge anywhere near it. The farthest up I can put any bridge is basically just a few feet north of that one near the middle of the river (apparently Phoebe's house can have all the bridges it wants near it, but Chief's area is off-limits).

Why don't you make it a little more up and not in the central?

Same issue in my town as well I wish you could be a little more creative in where you put things.

Yeah it's weird how they can move near a bridge but you can't put a bridge there. However you should be able to put the bridge a bit more north. Also phoebes house isn't near enough the bridge to bother it.

Hope they do fix things like this in the nextgame. For now it's eh. Then again, would be bad building bridges into buildings.

I can give that a try (again, that was a villager I was planning on trading anyway), but going by Isabelle's words, she seemed to be taking issue more with Chief's house.

Maybe I can try and get rid of him first and then cycle out a few other villagers until I have him back. Or pick out a new dreamie (Drago's pretty cool, I could have him instead).
