This was really weird, and I don't know if it's supposed to happen. I was visiting a dream of my old town, before I reset. When I opened a drawer in my house, I said: "...This is loaded with old memories!" Is it meant to happen, since I used to live there?

Haha, I wish it were the case. However, the drawers and closets all have a set dialogue for whenever you open them and they are all basically the same. If your villagers have some dressers or something that opens check those out. They say the same stuff and might have some items for you to take too :)

It's a coincidence. When you open storage items in dream towns, you get messages like the old memories one. There are a few different ones but they repeat themselves.

Does the item thing happen in dream towns or in your own town? I had no idea you could get items from villagers' storage. I've opened their closets and stuff when I'm bored but never found any items, I should try more often!

It's a coincidence.

I once found a chest with 100 rupees in it, but I can't use them.. :C

Oh wait.....that's the Gamecube one....Never mind! :p

wow that is so strange but i do kinda wish that yyour game kept your old save file on it so you could like mail your old villagers

It's a coincidence. I seriously doubt that Nintendo coded it so that that would happen, plus the update isn't intended to allow you to visit your old dream town, and even if they did, there's too many towns named Hyrule, and it'd be more of a coincidence to more people than what it's actually supposed to do.

Even though it's a coincidence I think it's pretty cool c: anyway, how seriously awesome would it be if you could have two (or even more than two) different towns on one cartridge c:

Wow that's a really cool coincidence. I love visiting Astoria's DA and i love how i can talk to my past villagers and they still greet me as someone new even though a few of them are now living in my new town. They just don't remember it c:

Unfortunately it only works in your own town. So only villagers that have closets and stuff will be able to give you stuff they didn't want anymore. You should definitely try. I found a throne in Ken's ranch dresser before and that was like the more awesome treasure find ever lol!
