I've heard much good things about this game. But is it actually worth buying? The 3DS will be here soon, so is this game a good apetiser? Will it keep me amused umtil then?

Well Population Growing has the best music out of all the ACs in my opinion. Aside that, Redd sells NES games that you can actually play once you set them inside your house.

Yeah you should go for it. But you need at least an empty memory card since it takes up 57 blocks.

I don't really think it shows its age. The graphics may be a little bit clearer in City Folk, but they still are very similar.

^This.

The only reason why the screen moves is to show that you're moving from acre to acre.

Of course! Animal Crossing for the Gamecube and ACCF are the best games. If you don't have the Gamecube version, then you should definitely get it. It was the first one I played in 2007 and I still love it today!
