Is there still time for a Pikmin Hat?

Ok I've been hoping to get the Pikmin hat for a while... But i forgot that they were giving it today! :O So I settled for any town I got and started it up, but still no Pikmin hat. How long is it before it's too late to get it?

Also, how do I get it? Do I search around town for Pete, go to Town Hall, or go to Nook? I really have no idea lol

Well, what region are you in? If you are in North America we SHOULD be getting it today. But I haven't got mine yet.

Wait, aren't we? The game came out today... so wouldn't we be getting the item like everyone else? I know that European AC:CF players got theirs on the day the game came out for them, and there was a rumor about the N America getting it today, but from your reaction it seem like that was false
