I've been thinking about asking for one for my birthday. I'm going to guess that the iPhone is superior but if there isn't much difference between them then I feel like I'd be wasting my parent's money with a plan and everything (I have a "pay as you go" phone) considering I don't use my cell phone that much. So, is there a big difference between them?

I have an iPhone, the only difference is that it can call people and send messages. Otherwise, it's just the same thing.

If you don't use your phone that much just go for the iPod because the iPhone does cost a lot for a phone plan. The only thing about the iPhone you'd probably miss is the 3G internet.

Besides the phone and texting parts of it, another difference is the microphone and internet with it. Some apps will only work on the iPhone, like Shazam. I guess it's really your choice, though.

iPod Touches come with headphones with microphones on now.

iPhone can vibrate, and do phone stuff. It has a microphone built in it. It also has a camera I believe. And use internet anywhere covered.

I'm pretty sure it comes with the iPod Nano headphones with mics on.

If you're like me and always want to get on the internet you should get the iphone because you need to be around wifi to get on the internet with the touch.

Yes; and my broke :c

Right out of warranty. blegh

iPhone - Phone = iTouch

If you don't use your cell phone much get an iTouch and keep your pay-as-you-go phone.

You CAN text with your iTouch (Free app gives you a new # too!) just can't send picture messages.
