Is there a way to stop a villager from moving after already giving them permission to do so?

Sorry if this question’s been asked before. Kitt told me she was thinking about moving and I told her to go for it but now I’m having second thoughts. I’ve talked to her several times and she brings up her move but there’s no option to ask her to stay again. I’m guessing once you support their decision to move it’s final then? 😔

That's kind of sad. I feel like I remember in New Leaf you could talk to them again about it.. ??? But maybe my memory is serving me wrong.

In NL, you have a few days to change your mind. But in NH, they’re in boxes literally the day after you say yes so I guess there’s no chance to stop them.

Yeah, you can't change their minds :(. I guess this is the tradeoff for them not moving out on their own this time around, they won't leave unless you agree to it so I can see why it's irreversible. In NL they warned you about leaving and they would give you a set date in which they would move so you could stop them (or not). In NH they seem to be all boxed up ready to leave the day after they tell you.
