Rocket moved in and I absolutely hate her. She's not only hideous af, she moved in literally the worst spot. I want her out.

villagers moving out is completely random, so no, talking to them won't make them move out faster!
what i suggest is either waiting it out or TT until she pings to move out.
(however, keep in mind that it is impossible to move out your newest villager. so, you'd have to move someone else out before her. good luck!)

It's not impossible, but very rare. I've had it happen once where my newest pinged (Clay, you cheeky ******* you are never leaving me). It's best to move another person in and then they will be much more likely to ping.

Well I just had my tenth villager, sky, move in, so hopefully rocket will ping to move out. Do you think she's more likely to do it if I actually talk to her? Because I never do

Well, she won't ping you at all if you aren't on "speaking terms" aka if 7+ days have gone by without interacting with them. She can still move of course, you just won't get a ping. I feel like befriending them makes them want to move faster, but it's really kind of a toss-up. Generally if I'm trying to get someone out I'll keep TTing in 2 - 3 day spurts til I get a ping/rumor. It's a pain, but gets the job done.

oh wow, really? thanks for correcting me then!
i've never had it happen to me, i'm glad it hasn't.

I've always had the best luck with a high friendship level, my favorites always seem to ping most often, it's definitely random but the probability seems to go up if you talk to them a lot and run their errands

Now, as far as the actual business of moving her out, if you're ok with time travel, the method I use is to start on a day someone (besides who you want gone) pings to leave, anyone, just tell them no. Then go find every other villager and say hi to them, to bring your speaking terms to current. I sometimes hunt them down on main street or in the museum or sometimes I just save and start up again hoping for them to be in different places, either way I make sure to speak to everyone. Usually I speak to whoever I want gone until their opening dialog starts to change. Then I save and quit and then use system clock to tt ahead six days. Then load up and go speak to everyone. Someone will be planning to move 100% of the time, sometimes I get a ping, other times it starts with a rumor, either way I find out who, if I need to stop them I do, I make sure to speak to everyone again, then save and tt another 6 days. Someone will always be planning to move so I just keep it up til it's who I want.
I've also heard tt 6 forward and then 6 back but it scares me so I stay linear til I get the right villager planning to leave and have had good success and no accidental move outs.

try hitting her with your net, making pitholes in front of her house, etc. worked for me to get moose out
