Is my lizard dying?

He sleeps alot and is only awake if I wake him up, it almost looks like he's shrinking but google doesn't seem to know anything about shrinking lizards, he also poops when I hold him or when he's outside of his tank alot for some reason and seems like he's not paying attention to anything happening around him at all.
