• Good evening, everyone! We have an egg hunt announcement! An additional clue for egg #21 will be posted Monday at 6 PM EDT if it hasn't been found by then. The egg hunt will also be extended until Tuesday morning at 10 AM EDT.

Is it safe?

As far as I know, people won't move out. Because no matter how far you travel BACK it only counts as one day??

But the trouble will lie in if you want to travel forward again

If somebody is moving out tomorrow, it will be moving when you TT back. If a villager is moving today, it will be gone when you TT back. Other than that nothing will happen.

Going back won't cause problems. It's going forward that can. If you go back, keep talking to your villagers. When someone asks to move, tell them no. Then you can save the game and safely return to the current day.

I always heard travelling back is safe NO ONE will move out its travelling forward that stings. I travelled back to April to get villager pics i travel forward to modern day and Sprinkle left :(

As everyone said, TTing backwards is fine. When you want to TT forwards however you have to TT day by day until someone says that they want to move out. When you say no then you can TT forward in one jump and none of your villagers should have left. Then when you're back on the correct day someone else will probably ask you to move so you'll need to check again one last time, then you'll be fine.

yup! this is exactly what I do, and I've never lost someone by accident. once I accidentally TT'd backwards a month, did this and lost no one when I went back to the right day

I thoguht that if someone is currently planning to move out then it counts as normal, no? Either way, OP, you can TT back safely immediately after you have stopped a villager from moving.

yes, completely safe. Time traveling backwards counts as only one day, but if you want to get back to december you'll have to be more careful
