Is it possible to keep your tent?

As in throughout the whole game or you must upgrade? I kinda like my tent...

I have 2 characters with tents. you can keep them but it to do so you cant pay off your initial loan to nook

if you upgrade you would be out of the tent. you can created a second char with a tent and never upgrade.

If you want to keep your tent that's totally cool! You just don't pay the loan
(Terrible life advice but it's Animal crossing)
I wish you could choose your tent color and that would translate to roof color

honestly.wish the game would let me keep everything tent themed, like a cute lil able sisters tent or nooks cranny tent ... and the residence services tent..

it doesn't make a whole lotta sense but the whole setup for this game is weird anyways

You CAN but you won't get access to certain pattern features or storage as far as I know!

I have seen some players create a second character simply to use the tent as decoration. I suppose you could do that

yeah, this game kind of pushes you to keep upgrading your house to unlock certain features. i wish we had the option to pick a smaller house if we wanted :<

My friend and he boyfriend share an island and he kept his home as a tent. They even put the tent at the campsite. I think it looks awesome every time I see it!

I know how you feel. I would love the tent for a furniture item. I wanted to make a couple campsites on my island because it’s Dragon Age theme and there are campsites in the game, but nope, Nook takes it away as soon as you upgrade.

As others mentioned, You could always create another character and just not have them upgrade.
