hey! we are living in really scary times so i wanted to create a group in which we can support and uplift eachother, as i know my anxiety has been driving me mad! im 17 and have RA. i take humira for it, which unfortunately makes my immune system very susceptible to disease.
ive been worried about catching covid and what it could mean to me and i was wondering if it was a shared sentiment :0
to distract myself i paint, play acnh, and go to the beach (with social distancing lol)
My immune system isn't compromised, but I'm not going to risk myself anyways. Also, my grandparents live on the other side of the world and things are fairly tough there. In fact, the malls reopened a few days ago then closed again after a spike in cases. Personally, reopening places right now isn't a good idea because we're not out of the woods yet. The vaccine has not yet been created. So I don't know why some people are willing to risk themselves getting infected (let's not get started with those people desperately trying to get back to their normal lives).
Despite being in quarantine for a very long time. I'm actually holding up fine. Animal Crossing is keeping me relaxed, drawing a few things lately because of more free time in my hands, and watching Youtube. I also go on car strolls with my family, but I stay inside of course so I don't get sick.
i have hashimoto's which is an autoimmune thyroid disorder that leads to hypothyroidism! aka my immune system attacks my thyroid. i don't think i'm much at risk though but i could be wrong idk. i haven't gotten sick in a looong time so i'm not sure what'll happen if i do catch anything since i was only just recently diagnosed with it. what sucks is that we just recently lost our health insurance and i take medication for it so i hope soon we get it back!
i'm still in uni and so i've been taking online courses which takes up a majority of my time. once that's over i plan to focus more on acnh and stardew + other games, youtube, shows, and facetime to keep me distracted bc i miss my friends a lot
