is anyone doing the toy day event?

I cant even remember how toy day went in ACNL so I could not be even more excited for this. I am hands down most likely doing this event with my other two players in the island too, thats how excited i feel for Toy day hahahaha

Yes, as Angelbearpuppy said, if you are connected to the Internet on the 24th you will have the event unlocked.

Do the presents given out show up in our villagers houses/inventories?

The Toy Day event is pretty lame actually... Jingle gives you a "Magic bag" that you give each villager one present out of. There are no "unique" gifts. You just give every single villager a "present" but it isn't actually an item. It's just part of the event. So there is nothing that can show up as far as I know. They don't open anything. That being said, after the event is done, you can give your villagers anything wrapped in the festive wrapping DIY you get at the start of the event and they'll give you one random "toy" item back from the new update.

Definitely - I was looking forward to it anyway but after it being announced that I can't meet anyone outside my household even on Xmas Day, having previously been told that I could, I think I need AC just to have one 'normal' thing to do at this time of year!

Spoiler: Toy Day Spoilers

The event takes place the ENTIRETY of the 24th. You can play from 5am until 5am. It is VERY quick (you can easily do it in less than 15 minutes). One important thing to note, is that if you want Jingle's photo you should definitely do the event! And pay attention to what he says.

I read the spoiler hahah cause even if i dont want one when i see the "spoiler sign" i have to take a peek . Anyways what i actually wanted to say is that i am sad that the event lasts only for 15 mins LOL! thats like way to quick! hahahah

My only concern was about villagers placing the toy day items we gift them in their house, but since it seems like that won't be an issue I look forward to the event! Even if it doesn't end up being very fun I'm still excited to get unique dialogue and talk to Jingle

I did not decorate my island with a bunch of Christmas stuff to not play Toy day. Hahaha.
I feel like it will be a quick thing anyways. Just like turkey day was. It will take a small portion of my day so I am going to play. I just want to experience it. Espically since the villagers aren't asking for specific gifts like they normal do. I just wanna see what is different.
