I am getting one for graduation....but I a going to try to get it earlier so that i can start uploading stuff beforehand, I only have a week after graduation til I leave so hopefully i can be....persuasive.

Congrats! I have a Video 30 gig IPod, and quite simply, it is awesome. I haven't noticed that the battery life is low, and without backlight, I can listen to music continuously for around 8 or 9 hours. Any IPod is a must-buy.

that is the one i will be getting, in black of course. but I had heard there was a battery extension thing so i wil need to look into that....

IPods are just a tad too expensive for me, seeing as I'm not the kind of guy always walking around listening to music. If I listened to music regularly, I would probably buy one.
