I had Rasher in my campsite, and I jumped ahead to tomorrow because I wanted to do an experiment with a PWP. I then realized I forgot to pay for the PWP, so I jumped back a few minutes to the previous day and paid it. I saw there was still a camper, so I went in to see if it was Rasher. It was Annabelle! I was briefly planning to jump ahead and then jump back to see if the camper switched again, and if maybe that would mean you could always change out the camper, and then I realized that it was counting as days by jumping back. Fortunate I thought that, because Stitches told me he was thinking of moving. He would have been gone after a couple of those. But, yeah, I wonder if the campsite remains but the camper changes, or if it was just coincidence that it put another camper there.

I'm not sure, but i think this os the campsite reset trick? Some people go days to try to find a specific villager. I should try this next time i have a camper
Usually, for the camper reset, you make sure to go in on a new day as a new character to see if there's a camper. This was an existing campsite on a day I already played, but a new camper. It's not worth the risk, though, as you will probably lose a villager after a few tries. The regular camper reset is fine, though.
