Hi Crossers,

I've been playing this ARG called Ingress for a while and wondered if anyone else on the forum is into the game. I figured it'd be worth asking seeing as the Via Noir event is just around the corner.

(FYI I recently hit L8 and am on the Resistance team)

I've got the game downloaded and it's been something I've been interested in trying, but I haven't gotten around to actually playing or trying it. Given with how Pokemon Go has been going I've grown less and less interested in trying Ingress if I'm honest.

I used to play but the players in my area were unhealthily invested in it...as in they would stalk you and become violent if you took their portals. So, uh...that ended my Ingress career pretty quickly. All in all though, crazies aside it's a pretty fun game. Just be careful of people. Check out if your local players keep a googe + page for your faction or something. With a bit of study you can see who might be a problem that you might want to avoid.

I've downloaded it but I have not played it very much. I like Pok?mon go better.

In all honesty, I played it. I will say that if Ingress was not done, who knows if Pok?mon go never came to be a thing if Ingress was not a thing. in my opinion, I love Ingress as much as Pok?mon go due to the fact that I get to play this with a friend I know for a very long while. And while there are some people taking Ingress way seriously, for me, it is the other way around. I got punched by a Team mystic person the moment I took my first gym as team instict. Ever since then, I stopped playing Pok?mon Go because of that, and my phone crashing more often the more it updates Pok?mon Go.

Ingress, while not as entertaining at some point, it can be fun once you have a few friends into sci-fi as well and geek out together. And if you have a big group of friends, trust me, dealing with people who get angry for taking their portals away from their team or so is much easier to avoid with friends around.
