Increasing Scorpion Spawns?

The scorpion is the last bug I need to catch but I?m really struggling finding one. I?ve been playing the game for nearly three years and I?ve only ever come across 2 scorpions. I?ve spent ages trying to catch one but they just won?t spawn for me! I always look at night after 12am between the months of July and September. I?ll check my town and then save and continue and enter and exist buildings to reset the spawns on a regular. But I never get any scorpions! Like I said, I?ve only ever seen 2 in my town. I?ve spent hours (literally) trying to find a scorpion. I get a bunch of tarantulas spawning in August but no scorpions. I?m getting so frustrated because it?s not even that I?m struggling to catch one like I did with the tarantulas, I literally just can not find one to catch! Short of chopping down all the trees in my town I don?t know what else to to do.

Does anybody have any tips?

Cut down trees you don't need (honestly I only planted stuff like close to houses or on the edges of town because of that, so they will have more open space to spawn on. I found it helped somewhat.

I should have mentioned I’ve already done this. The only trees I have left are surrounding buildings. I’ve also removed most of my flowers and paths. My town is pretty barren but still no scorpions

Hmm, okay, I mean they are 5* rare but if you have open spaces and are out late I guess you got really bad RNG. I had that with the tarantula. I found August-September to be helpful months as well.

Don’t know how much help this’ll be, but you might have better luck finding them when you aren’t looking. I know I found a couple this way! You mentioned you’ve seen a lot of tarantulas, so try looking in the places where you’ve found those? I’ve heard that they tend to have set spawning points, and that’s been true for my town as well so it’s worth a shot! Even if they aren’t open areas it’s worth a look, I’ve had them spawn in the middle of flower patches and orchards lool.

Other than that, all you can really do is hope loool. It’s possible that they’re more difficult to get in September, since the crickets and bell crickets may prevent them from spawning and the game only seems to spawn a certain amount at a time. Yeah that's a good tip too, don't focus too hard on finding it.

And yeah generally August have been best months for me.

So I set the date to August to stop the spawning of crickets. Chopped down every single tree. And after 2 and a half hours of searching (yes, I timed it:3) only saw one scorpion that jumped into the river as soon as it saw me. I’m feeling so deflated -.-
