Hi! So my 3ds broke due to water damage back in October and i haven't been on ACNL since due to not having a working 3ds and im nervous for my town. I haven't been on it in months! I know for a fact some of my dreamies would have moved out, and there would be SO many weeds because i had the bell boom ordinance and not the beautiful one.

Should i restart my town when my ds is fixed? Or do i just try and get my current town back how it was? Id doubt I'd be able to get my dreamies back though

Id keep it when my 3ds broke i got a new one and when i played animal crossing new leaf not even one of my villagers moved i was glad too. But that dosnt mean your dreamies will be there tho...i may of just gotten lucky. When your ds gets fixed check out your town to see if your fears came true if they have its your choice but if not id keep it. Hope this helps.

thankyouu!! i spent so many tbt bells on them im just so worried aha. i should be fine, but worst case scenario ill just have to re-get them in a different town. The last time i got a new town i asked a girl on here to hold my things so i could go back and get them when i made my new town and she took so much things from me ;0;

I would set your 3ds date/time to the day after your 3ds broke.

If you even remember the approximate date there will a less likely chance you lost any of your dreamies and you will be able to pick up where you left off. Then you can play through and catch up the the present day time. It will be quite fast to just talk to your villagers, check the stores, and do daily stuff until you are back to February.

i hope so, but sometimes villagers dont come back when i set the date back, so ill just have to keep my fingers crossed. thankyou!

I don't know what you mean by "dreamies" if you mean your favorite villagers, I suggest if they have moved out by the time you play again, that you buy their amiibo cards on ebay. I hope you get a new 3ds soon!

I?ve had a lot of dreamies - I have multiple towns and do a lot of time traveling...

In my Experience (I?ve done this at least 20 times) I TT to a date way in the past - beyond before where I was in the present town time.

If I was in 2017, then I?d go back a month when I know I was playing - in a season I?d enjoy staying a few days.
Time travel back in time counts as one day. If someone is ready to ping you to move, they will most likely ping you, and then you can play day by day until you?re back in present day, or after you DENY their ping you can TT back to whatever day you want.

Good luck on your 3DS!

Some make a new player in their town to check if anyone has moved or thinking of moving. Also check for villagers in boxes.
If a villager is gone than you leave without saving.

I have a town that run Feb to Sept. I stop a mover and than jump ahead to Feb. When I arrive I make sure to talk to all of the villager to get rumor or mover ping. After I get it I make sure to talk to all 10 villagers. I've been doing this in different towns and have never lost a villager.
If you didn't stop a mover only one villager might have left. Only one can leave until you play again.
If you aren't sure about the date go back as close as possible. Talk to all 10 villagers until you are sure you are okay. Jump ahead to the date you want. Avoid landing on holidays, events or birthdays because they wouldn't talk about moving than.
