I'm going with the Walking Dead and American Horror Story. I'm just about to wrap up on both of these shows and will need something new to watch right after I'm done
I mostly watch sports. there were some BBC shows i followed for a while that i thought were good, mostly detective/mystery shows if you like those: Midsomer Murders, Death in Paradise, and Father Brown. also a really gritty cop show that's unique in that all 3 lead characters are female detectives, Scott & Bailey. (these may all be re-runs for our market, i dont know)
Oh my god, there are so many amazing TV shows, that everyone should be watching, or have watched.
Breaking Bad
The Wire
Mad Men
True Detective (season 1 only)
Rick and Morty
Seinfeld
Fargo (watch the movie first, though)
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Game of Thrones (although it's getting very not great)
Arrested Development
Always Sunny in Philadelphia
The Office (US and UK)
Bojack Horseman
Daredevil (really only for MCU fans)
Archer
Avatar: The Last Airbender
X-Files
The Sopranos
Better Call Saul (only after you've finished Breaking Bad)
Nathan For You
AND SO MANY MORE!!!!!
All of those are shows that I consider, for the most part, to be perfect, or at the very least examples of superb television. The later seasons of the The Office (US), being the biggest exception.
I'm actually getting ready to start a series about how to approach some of this list on YouTube. Anyways, that's my list, and there's probably some I'm forgetting, but those are ALL SHOWS THAT YOU NEED TO WATCH, LIKE, NOW.
Most series I like are British comedies. Red Dwarf, IT Crowd and Only Fools & Horses are like the ones I can watch endlessly.
For newer/relevant shows, the only thing I'm really watching and love is 'Ash vs Evil Dead'. It's fantastic, but I don't know how good it would be for people who haven't seen and liked the original Evil Dead movies, especially since it mostly assumes the viewer has seen them.
I think the only other recent series I've watched was Breaking Bad. I don't think I can say anything about it that's not been said though.
Hmmm... that's a toughy. The best tv show I've ever watched would probably be The Simpsons if I were being perfectly honest. I don't really watch it anymore but I still like the classic episodes.
I really love Gogglebox. I'm not sure if you lot have it, but here in the UK we have it, and it's literally just watching people watch other shows, and it's super funny.
Actually went back to watch The Walking Dead yesterday since I stopped at the middle of season 2 a couple years ago. I love it!! Actually fine with the blood and stuff now lol.
My other fave shows would be:
- Jessica Jones
- Arrow
- Criminal Minds
- Breaking Bad
- Scandal
- Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Hand down, walking dead. Its like one long movie, just chopped up into weekly hours. I find all the characters really compelling. There is so much to talk about afterwards, my whole office does it. And you can get into some really good debates about human nature and what would you do, etc.
