Hello everyone,

I need a bit of help. Today, I learned from Axel that Kabuki plans on moving out. This was what I feared and at the same time hoped for, actually. Kabuki is a dreamie of mine and one of my starters, but his house is in a position where I would like to put my alt's house. I do want him back, of course, but I'm aware that isn't easy, given that I don't TT, so cycling through 16 villagers is pretty much crazy and I also...am not sure if my alt's house would even fit in the spot, lol.

So I'm hoping to get both opinions on if you would let him go and if you think a character's house would fit into this spot:
It's the house closest to the rightmost bridge on the map:

I also want to plant bamboo or trees behind the alt's house so that it would be a bit away from the river, but I don't even know if that will look good or if that would make the house stand too far away from the river (I think Kabuki's house is in a great spot and that it looks awesome there, so I want my character's house looking like that as well, but with more plants.)

So yeah...what would you do?

Well... it's a great spot, but Kabuki is your dreamie and would you really want to kick him out if cycling the 16 sounds so crazy? I would keep him, but that's just my opinion. Are there any other nice spots you would consider putting your alt's house if this one didn't work out?

If I were in your situation, I'd keep him too, but personally I don't really care where my own houses are. I'd rather a villager's house be in a good spot because it's so hard to get them to move in where you want, but you can always pick another place for an alt's home.

If I were you, I would just keep him. That sounds like a really long time to go without your dreamie just for a house placement. :c Even though I agree it would look amazing there, I think it would fit. I really love your map and maybe you could put your alt character in the dip in the cliff just above that small private island? I know it's not your first choice, but I really hope everything works out for you. <33

If it was me, I would keep him. Cycling out 16 villagers is a pain and if you don't TT, it may literally take you a year. I would only let him go if I was no longer in love with him, ha, ha!

A villagers house is 3x3, your house will be 5x5, so yes it will fit but I personally dislike that location.

Cycling will also bring negative effects to your town which, in hindsight, may not have been worth all the trouble. There are several projects you could build there once he moves out.

Thanks for your answers! :D

And well, theoretically, I could put my alt's house under the plaza or more to the left (on the peninsula by the diagonal bridge), but these are very suboptimal spots to me. I'm really super-picky with my house placement, especially on the island, since I want to make one big Zen garden there and it seems odd to me to have the exit of the house towards the cliff instead of towards the garden, which is why I don't really want to put it under the plaza. As for the peninsula, I'm not a fan of having houses too close to bridges, especially not character houses, and already screwed up there with my mayor's house.

If that's the case maybe try and cycle through? You might even find a villager you love just as much along the way. <3

I am thinking of actually TTing once I have unlocked everything on main street (as in, when I have the Emporium), so that would help as well. I just don't want to ruin the game experience for me by unlocking everything really fast because of TTing, so I'm taking it slowly. I just got the third shop, though, so it will take some time. But yeah, I'm leaning towards letting him leave. I don't like any of the other crankies besides maybe Elvis, but having new villagers is also fun and I need villagers to leave so that I can get more dreamies, I guess. And Kabuki did suggest all the Zen items I wanted from him by now. *sigh* Hard decision! I guess if I knew for sure that my alt's house would look good there, I would do it for sure, but since I'm unsure about that, that's holding me back.

It's also saddening that my Wi-Fi seems to not allow others to visit my town, so I can't even give Kabuki to someone else and he has to go to the void. That's also not helping matters. If I could make someone happy by giving him away, I would feel better about the whole thing.
