important question about QR designs?

Like i've seen people created QR codes for images that's actually in a good quality, ive tried all the apps in iphone/android about the image QR designer yet all of my designs are in a terrible quality (the pics) is there a specific size or something to make it a better quality ? and how to make a 3x3 logo design?

They look like they're horrible quality but once you input them into the game, you won't even be able to tell.
I created QR codes of my villagers' pictures with the iPhone app for New Leaf called QR Mydesign - they looked pretty bad on the phone but they actually look good in the game and I've put all around my villagers' houses. XD Just try it and see how it looks when you actually import it into the game.

32x32...? I'm not sure, but that's the size of the canvas. They shouldn't be that bad unless you're converting crazy large intricate files or anything containing text.
