I'm thinking of resetting?

Basically I want to reset my town because I've come to really dislike it. I don't like the map, the villagers, the placement of some PWP's, altogether just the way I handled the town when I first got it like 2 years ago. The only thing really stopping me is my progress. I know I can work up to having everything upgraded again, like the museum and the stores/main street, but there's just some stuff I don't really want to get rid of. How can I keep some of these items so that I can carry them over to the next game (i.e., bells, items, things to catalog)? Sorry in advanced, I'm kind of a noob when it comes to forums and such.

The only way to really get everything upgraded again is to unlock things in your new town, catch the bugs and fish, and all those things you did on your current one.

You can keep some of the things you have, like bells and items (even villagers) if you find someone reliable who can hold them for you while you reset. There are lots of people on here who don't mind helping out with that type of thing, just make sure to check their wifi rating first.

Yeah, I kinda figured with the whole upgrading thing. Just gotta take that one day at a time. But thank you for the information.
