i'm resetting for the perfect map

this is gonna take so long i'm gonna try n be strict about it
i want

- either center tree or tiny corner river
- circle grass
- peaches
- retail close to the island

things i would like but aren't a requirement:
- blue train station roof
- nice villagers
- town hall in a nice spot
- villagers houses close together

how long did it take you to get your map and did you have any requirements?

My two main qualifications are always four to five holding ponds and the retail very near Kappn's dock. Since I have eight towns, my maps are many and varied, mostly hits, but one or two misses. But now with the amiibo cards, I may scrap a town or two, remake them with a better map and then bring all the same villagers back home to it.

- retail in the center, not too far from island, not too far from train station
- either apples or cherries - really wanted apples but by this point I'd given up so I just went with cherries
- not too many lakes

at first I was very, very picky and I remember I had THE perfect town with apples and at least 2 of my dreamies to begin with but I reset because the grass was square

and yea i like ponds too i think its funny most people seem to hate them. they are so cute and provide a nice lil thing to decorate around.

I wanted my town hall and retail close to each other and that's about it. I thought about being strict with fruit and grass and a tiny beach section but I was dying to play it when I got it on Christmas 2013 haha. Good luck, I know it will be worth it!

I like my retail by the tracks and my tree below my town hall, usually up near the tracks as well. I also like my river to be fairly straight or having a "square" around a small plot to put my mayor house in. =D Going to reset an old town idea tomorrow and try to get a good map, I'll let you know how long it takes!

i wanna see it too! that sounds like an interesting and unique town idea.

that was totally the case of my first town which was reset long ago! i kind of regret it now, but i didnt like the eyes of my mayor anyways. thank you for the luck i am sure i am gonna be at it for a looong time haha!

I remember at first I didn't care too much about the grass shapes but my friend brought the game and I came to her town and I was like hold up, there is something about your town despite it being newly created that I just love. it was the grass. I love circle grass so much

AH I FOUND MY MAP!!! the fruit is cherry but that is the easiest thing to change out of my wishes!


still deciding where to put my house!
for those curious it took me about 2 hours to find something with a map layout that i liked and circle grass
