I'm a hoarder!!

So, I have a little problem here. I hoard all the items that you can't re-order in the catalog, and it's making me have absolutely no storage space anywhere. I've used up all of my closet space, and I've already used 3 of my museum exhibit rooms. I've even resorted to upgrading my house to just fill the new rooms with rare furniture and clothes. Does anyone else have this problem? Or do you just sell rare items and not think about it twice?

Note: I also hoard the bushes that Leif sells. In the packets, not planted, they are scattered around outside my train station, and have made it so I don't have a perfect town rating anymore. Why don't I just sell them? Who knows.

I hoard lots of cedar sapling and bushes as well. But I don't throw them every nook and corner of my town, I keep them with my 2nd character and might sell unused one off once it full. Also I do have alot rare items myself and I keep them in post office mail until I realized I never need them, then I just sell them off with any offer =x Is no point to hold up with everything even the rarest set if you don't plan to use it.

Oh yes, space is very limited compared to the tons of unique and/or unorderable items that you get. I used to keep all of them and even made a second character to store everything, but lately I began to sort out what I don't like/need/want/use and these items will be sold or given away.

I have the same issue. Slowly trying to sort through some of my items to get rid of some of them. My town is like a dumping ground currently and I want to change that.

I have this same exact problem as well. However, as other posters have mentioned, having extra playable characters and fully upgrading their houses greatly helps out ^_^ I try to use each room to showcase a group of unorderable furniture that I don't want to get rid of or sell.

I honestly don't care for rare items anymore. I ALMOST developed a hoarding habit, but now I'm just pfft. Not even sure what's considered rare anymore (with a few exceptions). Someone did a really creative auction a while ago with a funny hoarding story about T-bone xD I'd dig the thread up for you if you haven't seen it already, but I have no chance in finding it.

I used to hoard rare stuff until I had the exhibit rooms all filled up with things I didn't even want! There's one simple solution to this problem; SELL!

No, but seriously. Find out which items you really need/want and sell the rest.

I just sell stuff I don't use. If it's unorderable I try my best to sell it because I know there are people out there that would want to purchase it and I can get a few bells from it, but if it's re-orderable I just sell it @ Re-tail. Extra room is more important to me than bells.

I think people are worried that they will change the pwps or layout of things in their town and they'll need to chop down a bunch of trees, and then they'll need new saplings.

Some tips to manage inventory. Alot have already been mentioned, but it's nice to have a list all in one place for others to see and make use of!

• Utilize your letters! Each can hold 1 item.
• Make alternate characters and upgrade their houses for more room!
• The museum (2nd floor) has 4 rooms you can use for storage.
• You can ditch items anywhere in your town.
• You can bury items as well! Make sure you remember what you buried and where!
• Each alternate character has their own locker space!
• If it's reorderable, sell it. You can always buy it from the catalog later.
• You can ask someone you trust to hold a few items for you.

I hoarde unorderables. I have 5 chocolate cakes by now because I never bothered to take them off my wishlist and people would keep offering them in trades. idk why I still have them on the list I just think theyre so cute djiahdjdi

HAH. I'm such a hoarder too. I hoard cute things in the multiples. I have like 7 Ice Cream Cone lamps in one flavour only. I've run out of space that I started scattering furniture randomly about my town. It's so bad, my whole town looks like a dump.

Even when I do try to sit down & sort everything, I only get around to throwing away like 10% of things. Then I end up buying more to replace those 10%. So I'm back to square one again. It's a vicious cycle.
