Why can't I close the thread?

I'm not sure this is the right place to post but anyway -

I can't seem to make flies appear in my town, despite taking the beautiful ordinance off. So can I visit someone else's town who has flies? Need one for my museum!

What you need to do is keep the beautiful ordinance off. Then, when you pull up a boot or a tin can out of a pond or the river, leave it on the ground. It should attract flies and/or ants.

I left out two rotten perfect fruit which supposedly gives the same effect however only ants have come, so I don't get what else I have to do. Unless they only appear in Summer but I read somewhere it's all year.

According to my book, flies are available all year round anytime. They gather around garbage and spoiled turnips. Now that I read that, I think I did the turnip method. I bought the smallest amount of turnips that I could, let them spoil and then gathered my fly.

It was my only venture into the stalk market in this game...

Ah, I'll try that when Joan comes around then. :)

Otherwise, still looking for someone with flies in their town!
