I would save some for college, some for investment, some for stuff that I want/need, and the rest for important stuff like paying off debt for my parents so they can retire early. What about you?
JK I'd probably pay for collage, buy a crappy car and fix it, buy an apartment so I can *finally* have my own room, and live cheaply for the rest of my life.
Buy a small house for my Mom and I to live in, put a fair amount away for college, buy us anything else that we need and couldn't previously afford, get a couple of nice gifts, and then put the rest away in savings.
If I had 1 million dollars, I'd invest it all until I graduate, then pay off that debt right away. Preferably I'd invest it somewhere with high interest, haha. Then, after the student debt is gone, I'd leave the remaining money for retirement.
Pay off any debts, and save the rest and live a normal life without the stress of not having enough money for stuff. I would only use it when I absolutely needed it like a medical emergency or something.
I would give half to the two loving parents that raised me and have spent loads of money on me as I've grown up, especially while I'm in college. Then I'd probably buy myself a new car, even though I like the car I have now just fine. I'd spend some on things I want like clothes, food, jewelry, and maybe some games. Then I would donate a whole bunch. I wouldn't just want the money to sit around not helping anything, I'd like to donate some to charity and possibly my university.
Where can I get this million dollars?? I'm ready for it!
If you think about it, one million dollars is not really *THAT* much now. Of course it will still go decently far but it would be gone extremely fast if you splurge all of it on stuff you want. I would want to give it to charities, and also fork some over to my family, and get a really awesome custom-built gaming computer with like SLI Nvidia GTX Titans, an awesome CPU, 3 Monitors, bah, it would be amazing. And other geeky stuff. Oh and good internet xP I am very nerdy if you haven't already noticed.
Buy a modest house, buy a modest car, and pay my school fees. Most of the money will probably get used on the most practical things because a million is not always enough, especially living in California. If I do have leftover, I'd spread the wealth by building a community garden. ^___^ Start my own small business or Farmer's market.
Help people out as much as possible from all walks of life, help the family out, get a godly computer, get a Vespa, get a Smartcar, can't think of anything else atm, but a good amount would go into savings as well.
