So if you could have any job in any point of time (current, historic, or in the future) what would you love to do?

I would've loved to have been a Naturalist in the 1800s like Charles Darwin. It would be fun to observe, sketch, and discover new animal and plant species in the wild. Although knowing me, I would've given them ridiculous latin names for fun.

I want to be a voice actor. It is the only job I think I could possibly do (though thinking of ideas on the spot might be hard). I just love hearing both Japanese and English speaking voice actors and respect them all so much. Their job does sound fun too. I used to want to be a historian that works on the Civil War battlefields, but now, as much as I loved the battlefields, I realize it isn’t feasible (since the historians that work at them are prominent and most are professors so yeah, a bit more than what I used to want to do) with my anxiety and the fact I can’t leave home and rather be home anyways.

I have always wanted to be an author, which could be a job in any time period, but I'm particularly fond of literature from the 1800s. So if I could be a writer in any time period, I would choose that century.

My dream is to become an indie uke/rock artist, but my music really isn't too good. I would love to do it, though C:

I've always though it'd be really fun to be a voice actor too! I'd also really like to own my own bakery or be a virologist or epidemiologist. The time period doesn't matter so much to me, but it would've been cool to be around when the first really big breakthroughs in microbiology-- vaccination, the discovery of antimicrobials, germ theory, etc.-- were being made.

I don't know, honestly, I've been wondering what I'd like to be, but I just don't know, even if I was given the choice to pick. :(

As long as my job could earn me lots of money, privacy and enough free time to enjoy my life I would be the happiest 😊

I want to be an actor or a member of a band.

It would be soo much fun working on a show or movie goofing around on set and I have always loved re enacting my favorite scenes from my favorite cartoons and tv shows/movies. There's something about portraying this character that's so much fun. I used to just want to voice act, but since then it's expanded to just being an actor. This has been my biggest passion ever (being an early 2000's tv connoisseur lol), so being able to earn money through something I love doing would be incredible.

Being in a band would also be a lot of fun. Getting to play, write, record, with friends would be awesome. I've also always loved music so this would be an amazing job. Also, technically I am in a band already, but we haven't done anything since me and my friends formed it during the summer lol

I've always thought getting to do what Darwin did would be really cool! My dream is still to be a naturalist but I'm hoping to work in conservation. I'd also like to be a librarian. I don't care so much about the time period but I think it would've been neat to work in a library when their focus was more on cataloging and caring for books since that's what I'd be most interested in.

A race car driver or work at Best Buy. Lame ideas but l really don't have any ideas for a dream job rn.

Kind-of a basic answer, but my answer would probably be a pastry chef or a baker. Just as long as the sweet things like cakes, cupcakes, muffins, etc use actual milk and not water like box mixes say you should use.

Water cake is a sin!

My dream job is any job that allows me to help people in need. Doesn’t matter what time period or what job it is.

I’ve always wanted to be a model.
But I stopped growing at 5’2.
Realistically, I would love to work at a vegan bakery.

If I didn't have to worry about pay or anything, I would like to be a route setter for bouldering. It's a combination of physical activity, creativity, and designs. Route setters design the problems like this where people have to climb up the same color holds to the top. Some of them are super obvious what you are suppose to do and others not so much.

I want to be a translator/localizer for video games, books, and TV shows in the present! With how popular Japanese entertainment has become I want to help bring it to more English speaking audiences. Hearing about the translating process from people like Clyde Mandelin has inspired me to enter this difficult career path.

all my would-be dreams are crushed by my realistic thinking telling me i'll never be able to do that in my life, so there's no use thinking about it even lol. so honestly i have no idea. that being said, at the moment i'm like "imagine being a successful streamer" which is ridiculous because it's probably way worse than i imagine and i have the social skills of a smooth ocean rock but i'm just like "video games??? all day every day?? yes pls"
... so yeah.

A seamstress! The pay and hours would suck, but it’s so fun sewing without realizing that the hours have gone by. Plus, the knots in my neck don’t hurt anymore once a project is done.

Definitely something creative (pottery comes to mind) or something with manuscripts, like making copies of them or preserving them.

I'd love to have been an artist or a writer. It was my career goal to be a poet until a couple of years ago. If things were different, I'd love to try living off of the arts.
