Ideas for other Nook Miles Items?

This is just for fun, but what other NM items would be cute in the game? I was thinking that having a Water Tower, Power Lines, Windmill, and maybe an outside Parking Lot item would be really cute! Maybe a floating Hot Air Balloon too in different colors?

I think it would be a cool way of reintroducing the public works projects from NL (seeing as that's what a couple are already), like the wisteria trellis or the bell.

I would love to have more playground related items. Otherwise, I would also like to see the return of the wisteria trellis.

Perfect thread! Let me think about some ideas we would add to the game but first, let's discuss public works. Why not just add the ones in New Leaf? Someone talked about them; I agree! Police station was not that useful but it add good NPC. We all want to see Resetti brothers again. New looks for our town all is maybe a good idea as well. We, I think, all have the same. HHD gave us the option to five our buildings an 'unique' appareance to match with our thema. Why not here? I'm looking for the old items; do we have bells in NH? Do we have all the benchs we had in New Leaf? I've just seen a bus stop. PLEASE give it back to us! Tororo's fans will be happy! There were many more streetlamps as well, bridges I think too. I love the clocks (yes I remember a lot of things I've never experienced in the previous game, I'm discovering a bit and I enjoy what I see but am disappointed because we just don't have everything). Even the signs were funny! (perfect for a city theme). I want that traffic signal back. The archs. The sculptures, the face-cutout standee. The jungle gym (we have one I think but it's not the same; why not more items about that childish theme? A swing, I don't know the others games names but something like playground!). We had a video screen. People can do their own with patterns but why not? We had topiaries. Why not again? We had wind turbine, windmill, a good tower...

Why we don't have this in our present game? That's too bad...

Now I'll think about good ideas I can find by myself, not just found in New Leaf haha. But definitively, I think it's a good idea to add more items to buy with Miles. It's not my case yet, but I think most people will finally have too many Nook Miles!

Neat idea for a thread! I would like more fence types, more street lamp types, and from New Leaf I would like to see the return of the bus stop, windmill and wisteria trellis. As for new stuff- let me spend my NMTs at other folks islands!

I would love more carnival items... a ferris wheel and merry go round, especially. A windmill and a swing that actually swings would be great as well.

What I would most like is more interactive furniture that the villagers can sit on and ride or interact with in some way. I'm bummed they can't sit in the teacups or sit by the pool. (Basically I want Pocket Camp amenities.)

@DOLCE MACHAON I really like the idea of tying new structures to nook miles. It'd have to be a whole lot of miles, but maybe you could pay it down like with Lloid. It actually ties gameplay to progression (beyond just making bells on the stalk market or whatever). Isn't that what Tom Nook claimed miles were for?

Or, maybe you could have the option to pay in bells or in miles. People might have a preference. I mean I guess you technically can with bell vouchers, but that's a nightmare. I was wanting this same thing for bridges and inclines.

I really really want the windmill to be added someday. That hot air balloon is a great idea by the way, I'd love to see it!

I'd love to get the wishing well/shrine trees from GC animal crossing. Though, unlikely would be a NM item though, as they both would have to have different models if having both the jpn version and the western version accessible.

The idea of being able to have different building appearances with our NMs would be perfect omg. It's all too bad aha, I just want all the PWPs from NL and more city stuff so badly.

This might be a farfetched idea, but what if we could buy buildings with NMs? Why stop at the Police Station? We could have decorative buildings like office buildings, skyscrapers, a bakery, or we could have Re-Tail and Katrina. . .

All of these ideas make me wish Animal Crossing could be modded on a PC or something lol

Yes! I wish we could update and customize our resident services building and airport with nook miles... new colors and styles (like how New Leaf had zen, fairytale, modern, etc.)

I like the idea of buying shops and buildings, too. Even if you can't enter, just storefronts... though being able to decorate inside would be great.

More hairstyles and colors would be good, too.

Many possibilities! I hope they add new stuff.

agree with bringing back all the old PWP designs (the windmill especially).
i think some of the amenities from pocket camp would look good, like the giant hammock, skate-park, clock-tower, treehouse etc. they have a lot of really nice designs and being able to interact with those models at last would be great.

im with cocoacat! it would be neat to have our own shops that we could sell items to villagers and visitors *if you dont want to give away your extra items*. you could make an entire bug/fish etc shop or your extra anything. it might be sort of neat if the shops also acted as another *more* storage too, like the museum in new leaf had.

i wouldnt mind having a choice of colors for the nook miles items too, and different items entirely. they should change them out once every couple of months. the only item ive put in my town from that list is the lighthouse. why is the wave breaker even in this game? lol!
