Sheesh, that guy is good o_o
i know...i saw his concert a few days before and then saw a jam session he had with another guitarist at a nearby restaurant right after. i sat **right** next to him as he played (and did flamenco handclapping!!), and some of the things he did made my head spin...like literally...his hands move too fast to even see. ridiculous.

Lol, sounds like you had a good time :P

so I am trying to learn "Pavan" from the video...my hands haven't fallen off yet, but no guarantees...

He's fantasmical.
But he seems REALLY cocky? Well, thinks alot of himself.
Is he?
not at all. why do you think so? he's an extremely down to earth guy, seems like a cool dude to just hang out and have a beer with yannow? :)

He sure is talented but not my taste. Love that percussive stuff hes doing.

Okay, the above was written while listening. My mind has been blown. Definitely someone I'm going to start listening to.

Check out his CD...

There are some really cool tunes there, and less of the percussive stuff. I think there was more percussion in the live video simply because it **was** live...heat of the moment and all...

Or if you want to just get a couple of tunes, my favorites are Lagrimas de Sal (Colombianas), Distancias (Tangos), Aire de Mozambique, and Pavan (Bulerias). But really they are all great. Pretty much at the forefront of modern flamenco...

Hey, if you're that good, i'd say you have the right to be cocky.

Yeah. Its just in the first video, everytime he does something on guitar, he makes that super cocky face and sticks his chin out like he owns the place.

A lot guitarists do that. My head seems to bobble for no reason when I play.

He's doing it on purpose.
its that face.

actually, it's true...a lot of guitarists do that, and it doesn't really matter what face he's making. when you're in the heat of the moment, the stuff you do aside from the playing is usually subconscious. i notice that the more emotionally invested i am in my playing, the more i show it...i don't make any faces but i do kind of groove to the music a bit...
