i think my game is glitching?

I noticed that the southern half of my town had a light buzz coming off it. I was walking around and I started getting close to Annalise's house, and it seems to be coming from there. It's still really faint, but there is definitely a buzzing sound coming from my DS, and it's strongest at the back of her house. She's walking around outside right now, though.
Has anyone else ever noticed this? if possible, could someone come over and see if they hear it too? i don't know if it does that when I have guests, I've never bothered to try.
Maybe it's a mid-November thing? it is a cycling town.

Could it be a mole cricket?
Mole crickets hide in the ground and make the buzz sound as you near it.

If it is, you can dig in the ground with a shovel, until you hit the right spot and dig the mole cricket out.
Then you just catch it with a net.

It was XD Gaaah, I feel like such a novice for not knowing that. It totally threw me off! i guess since I got the game in June, I've had no experience with November yet.

Mole cricket freaked me out as well! XD
I thought I was hearing things at first because my volume was put on low. Then I put it on maximum and realised that it was the damn bug :d

I had to laugh, too, Ferah! I didn't know what it was at first, either, and I went looking all around my room and checked my pc, my hubby's pc, and everything that could buzz, and then I found out by coming here that someone had made a similar thread and I learned about the mole cricket. When I finally caught one, tho, it was so ugly it was sorta cute. I had to make sure I caught an extra so I could give one to Blathers and keep one for a "pet." Lol!

it already has problems with the upper screen, it goes all yellow-tinted unless i have a large office clip on the left side, so I thought the clip was messing with the speaker. XD i took it off and it kept going (plus now my screen was all yellowy) and i just kinda walked around until i found Annalise's house, which the bug was DIRECTLY to the right of the door.

You were lucky to catch that mole cricket, tho. I have a tough time catching them. I eventually get them, but only after digging all sorts of holes over and over, sometimes trapping myself inside due to frustration, and helplessly watching as the little b****** walks away and drops into the water.

Ah, the DS was a hand-me-down from a guy i met at a Pokemon card meeting :3 i'm going to buy a new (used) one soon, and give this one to my little sister for her birthday, or maybe Christmas if I can save enough for it.
and yeah, he's surrounded by land and holes, so it wasn't to hard to catch!
