Apparently NM Islands roll species first and then a villager from the species... I'm afraid you've just been very unlucky

I've never seen any wolves or horses. I've had to get them through other means. =/

I have not seen a single cat, deer or wolf (apart from Skye in my very first tour). But mice, anteaters, hippos and gorillas? Plenty.

I hadn’t seen a cat on NMT either, but i’ve seen a dog once. The chances are probably hard to come by because there is a lot of cats in the game.

Species with lots of villagers, such as cats and dogs, are rarer. I've only met Lucky and Goldie for dogs. Never met a single cat. That's out of 104 villagers I've met.

I also never saw a cat in an island tour. My first cat ever was Monique, on my campsite. She is...... unique. Then Rudy, then I bought Ankha. In contrast, I probably saw all wolves except Audie.

the way NMTs work, it picks the species first. so you have a 1/23 chance of finding a cat. also, if you used 100 NMTs, you could use that to buy like 3 cat villagers.

Just bad luck, no funny business going on.

The chance for any cat to appear is 1/35. I just did about 70 islands today and didn't have a cat, but one time I did like 20 and had 3 cats show up (Kitty, Purrl, Stinky). Later did 20 runs again and had 1 cat show up and adopted him (Bob). It's RNG not a glitch
