Okay so I finally got Muffy's card. She was a dreamie who moved out on me, so I was excited to get her back. Well, when I moved in Penelope, she plotted EXACTLY in Inkwell's spot. After three hours of plot resetting, she literally only moved twice and both other spots were terrible. So I gave up.

Tia was in the most perfect spot ever, and I didn't really like her anymore, so I decided to boot her out for Muffy. I log in, as a new character just in case, and I see Muffy is right on top of alllllllllll my purple pansies. Okay, not a problem. Maybe she'll go into Tia's spot!!!!!! Like how Penelope wouldn't move from Inkwell's spot!

it's been a half hour
i'm in the worst mood of my life after fighting with my bf and it's late and i'm tired and she hasn't moved once and all my purple pansies are going to be ruined i am so upset idk what to do i was 99% sure she'd plot in tia's spot and i am on the verge of tears over a GAME is there anything i can do to fix this or is it too late

yes i know about paths but clearly it's too late to do that now

does manually switching the ds clock back a day work for amiibo move ins? i know it does for others - it just puts you pre-move in and you can go ahead and lay down paths and then tt forward to the move in day again. like obviously, load a side character if you tt and check the game to see if she's plotted but. maybe it might work?

other than that, i would say it is possible to move her unless you accidentally loaded a saved character. maybe take a breather for a while and come back to it later. nothing wrong with needing some time away

Ahhh wait you can rewind the date via 3ds system clock and place patterns everywhere!
That's what I did for Caroline! Is the place you want Muffy to be at safe from buffer zones? (other houses, pwps, etc.)
Trust me, I was resetting for over an hour for Caroline after kicking out an unwanted villager and I was irritated like you.. After nine tries(give or take an hour) she finally landed in the spot I wanted her to be on my tenth attempt. It's just awful luck tbh.
