...On Wednesday my friend invited me to attend something at her church, & I said Sure. She told me it was this Friday at 7:00 pm.
Well the next day, the Girl of my Dreams invited me to a Youth Rally where her band was going to be playing. I asked her when it was and she said it was at 7:00, and she said it was going to be tons of fun. I thought the two events were the same thing and I told her I would love to come.
Okay Now...on Friday Afternoon I was texting my friend about the rally. I told her I was invited by someone else too, and that I was really excited to hear the bands play.
I get a text back saying this:
"Who Invited You?"
Then I text her the name, and I get this text back:
"What? She Doesn't Go to My Church, It must be a totally different thing that she was talking about."
....
My Mind suddenly jumped the railing and it just yelled out in my head:
"OH MY GAWD!? You've Got to be Kidding me! God, this wasn't supposed to happen!"
I got a Message Back from my friend just telling me to pick and choose, and that she totally understood if I couldn't make it to her event.
I had the Ugly choice to make, and was just waiting...waiting for the right decision to become clear.
....
Around 6:50 I get a Text from my friend:
"Hey Aaron! Get Over Here! She's Here!"
I text back "What??? What do you Mean?"
"(Insert Name)! She's Here! Her band is Playing Right Now, and you're going to miss it!"
I arrive at the Church just a little bit too late. I missed her band perform, but got to see 2 others. I have to wait until next monday to talk to her again...but I feel like I just blew it.
