I noticed villager trading

Hi I am new and I just got my brothrr's old 3DS with Animal Crossing New leaf. I started a new game and I cannot seem to get Fang, I saw him on my brother's old game and thought his personality was cute. Anyhow I gave up trying to change the town seeing as it is already Halloween. Any way you can get new villagers??

Welcome!! Your villagers will move out every now and then (as long as you have 9~10 villagers in your town I think) and new ones will move in!

There's a few ways to get new villagers:

- if you have under 10 villagers, you can adopt a villager from another town when they're leaving. They'll be packed up in boxes and you just talk to them and tell them to move to your town
- if you have 8 villagers, a random 9th villager should move in within a couple of days
- once you build a campsite, sometimes an animal will camp there and you can invite them to your town as long as it's not full
- if you visit a friend's town I think one of the villagers have a chance of moving into your town randomly (when they decide to move out of your friend's town)?? not 100% sure on how this works, but it's happened to me a few times
- scanning in amiibo cards let villagers move into your town too!

P.S. the easiest way to get Fang is to probably adopt him from someone in the Villager Trading Plaza :0

I think Fang is considered a high tier villager so generally speaking people charge quite a bit of bells or TBT for him :0 but if you're lucky some people might give him to you for free

I'd like to add, if you have the funds for it, you can invite new villagers to move in via amiibo cards as well. However, the cards come in packs of 6 (I believe) and they're randomized, so if you want a particular villager, you can either buy many packs and be hopeful, or buy the exact villager's card off of amazon or ebay.
