Hey guys, so I learned an unwanted villager (hamphrey) Is going to be moving into my town. I really don't want this character, and I need some advice to get him out asap. Thank you!

I actually heard ignoring them or being mean to them actually makes them want to stay and try to befriend you. I don't know how true that is, but I heard it years ago and it seems to be sort of true in my experience. Could just be a coincidence though.
Yeah, I think the best way to get them out is to try and befriend them - send them a welcome letter, and then maybe more letters after that, and then try and fulfill all their requests. They should try and move out pretty soon that way.
make sure you greet them on their first day when they're unpacking in their house!! then from what i have read online and in my experience, the more you talk to them, the more likely they are to ask about moving soon
I've also had the best luck getting villagers to move by being friendly to them. Welcoming them to town, sending them letters and gifts, and completing any requests they asked of me. I've heard that greeting them and then ignoring them can work too, but I've personally never tried it.
The main thing I would suggest is to focus on only moving that one villager out, meaning deny any other villager's request to move so you'll have more opportunities to get him out quicker.

I've tired multiple methods.
1 Never ever talking to them. Didn't work.
2 Talking to them only once. Didn't ping me for life.
3 Occasional talking just so they know I'm alive. Still no luck.
4 Finally giving up and doing whatever they say. Finally got pinged, and now Diva is gone.
So yeah as annoying as it sounds, becoming their friend seems to work best to get them to leave. They may not ask to leave instantly, but becoming their friend will give you more opportunities for them to ask to leave.

The day they move in you have to greet them, after you greet them you can time travel two days forward, then talk to a random villager until they tell you either 1. a rumor or 2. that someone you want to stay in town is moving, make sure you ask that villager to stay, after that time travel again 2 days, rinse and repeat until the unwanted villager wants to move out. Never talk to the unwanted villager the whole time you do this, I've gotten a villager out pretty quick doing this. If you're confused though, Mischacrossing on youtube has a video explaining it pretty well!
Nothing will be surefire. The best thing to do is befriend them to the highest friendship points and then eventually they will ask to move. Be careful of this because if you say yes they may reconsider to spite you. Pancetti!!! Every time. That evil pig. So save before if you have stuff you don't want to lose.
