I need help

Not sure if this is where this goes (Never asked for help before) But I currently can't go to people's towns, at all, not even my close friend's town. I can go to my second town via wifi but not anyone outside of my house. Has anyone else come across this problem? I've tried fixing it via what the Nintendo page has told me, I've tried just about everything and so has my friend. I'm dumbfounded by the fact that I can go to the island with other players and people can come to my town but I am unable to leave my town from my home and visit others. Can someone help me, please?

Are you talking about the error code 018-0512?
If so, I was having the same problem with my apartments internet and I only fixed it because I moved out and I'm back home with good internet :/
Maybe try calling Nintendo themselves and see what they can help you with.
