i need help w plot resetting bc im dumb

i tried to use the 3ds clock to reset this time since i didn't know if i was gonna finish plot resetting tonight so i reset to 5:57 am n everything but when i went to make a new save file freya already set her house and it was still the same day so im so confused
this is the third time in a row plot resetting didn't work for me i hate this omg

I'm pretty sure you can't plot reset with the old method anymore anyway? At least that's what I've gathered from what I've read.

But you're supposed to set the clock to just before 6am the day OF the new villager moving in.
Then save, quit.
At 6am, start up the game on a new player file, go through all that junk, look for the plot. If you like it, make your player and save, if not, turn the game off and do it again. You only need to do the time change to 6am once, as long as you always start up with a new player after that, you can plot reset forever if you wanted to.


But like I said, I think this doesn't work anymore. Now it's set so that villagers don't move in on ground tiles/patterns.

I think now it's a somewhat similar method of starting up on a new character, but I think mostly people have been using the patterns to place villagers where they want.

I can confirm plot resetting still works.

It should be 5:57 am in the next day since the game loads up a new day every 6 am. So if you go back to 5:57 am in the same day it'll count as thing one day back and that will make villagers move in.
