I need help deciding on a location!

I’m about to begin funding for the Water Well PWP and I need some opinions on where it’d look best. I added a photo of my town map, the black X’s are the spots I’m considering placing it! If anybody could give me their opinions, I’d be very grateful!

I’ll probably close this after a specific number of people respond, i love hearing what other think and it helps me indefinitely with my inability to decide!

I personally put my house by the waterfall because it is such a nice sound when I am at my house. It's relaxing and perfect and beautiful!

I put my house by the waterfall as well! But I was asking about where I should put a water well public works project!
 
Consider to the left of the top most bridge. I think that's a neat spot to look at, if you get that villager out of there it would be like your own forest/hybrid spot along with your home

That’s also a very good idea. I’ve been trying to get quite a few villagers out of my town so I can move in all of my dreamies, and then begin to build the forest town of my dreams. I can also always build more than one water well, too, so that’s always another thought! Thank you so much for your input :)
 
I think it would look pretty next to the waterfall! It would be really nice scenery by the cliffside next to the waterfall surrounded by flowers

Thank you so much for your input! I?m so torn between the spots I?ve picked, this definitely won?t be easy to decide. Maybe I?ll have to build more than one.... the options are limitless

I'm very bad at this sort of thing, its not a permanent PWP so if it doesn't work where you do put it then it isn't a disaster.
What is a water well supposed to do - for drinking or just for water (say for filling up your watering can to water the flowers?)

Personally I would use it as a blocking mechanism - so I might be tempted to put it behind my house - (a location that hasn't got a black cross), to prevent a villager house going there (if there is room), and to form maybe part of a back garden to the house.

Or maybe near to the camp site entrance. (the RV one, but there is a water feature within the camp site so it doesn't really work story wise).

Have you got a town camp site built - it would work well by the side of that - as it would give the camper a water supply/place to wash their boots!

I love the location near the pond as well, I feel like it would add some substance to those dang ponds. At least the water well isn’t permanent, so if I decide I hate its location I can always demolish it (or even add another water well somewhere in town)

I agree, it’d add a cute way to make the ponds seem useful. Out of the three spots I’m definitely considering by the pond the most, thank you so much for your input! :)

No, you’re not bad at this at all! I really appreciate your input! I don’t have a campsite built in my town as a PWP, simply because I don’t enjoy how gawky they are, even though it is a really good way to get villagers to visit. I’ve been thinking of using it as a blocking mechanism as well, but I’m going to wait to add those until Broffina moves out (sadly, a friend I played with didn’t tell me she was leaving, so when I visited her town, Broffina came along within the next few days and plotted right next to me....). But once she’s gone I’m going to add a bunch of cute PWPs near my house, like the Hot Spring PWP, along with a few others. I’m going for a cute fairy garden/studio ghibli inspired forest town, so we’ll see how it goes!

I voted next to the pond. I think the spot along the ocean would be lovely, too. The only reason I didn't pick it was because I thought a lighthouse might look better there as opposed to the well.
