Hey there! Flies actually have higher spawn rates around rotten fruit and turnips than around garbage. I don't have any garbage, but I can get you a rotten fruit. It's free if you wanna pick it up from me. I'll be getting on new leaf in about 4 hours; I'm at school currently.

Sorry about that didn't know the rafflesia disappeared after I planted a few bushes, but if I ever buy some turnips on Sunday and get them to be rotten I'll let you know.
