Your Club Nintendo code for the 3DS is on the 3DS itself.

There are two numbers. One on the bottom of the 3DS that extends the warranty, and another on a card that comes in the box that registers it for Club Nintendo.

Nope, got mine new for Christmas in 2011. I checked my Club Nintendo account and it said I registered it on December 26th, 2011 but I'm positive I registered with the serial number and not a CN code.

Go into your completed tasks list in your account and coins menu. If there is an amount of coins next to where it says you registered it, then you used the code card, and if it doesn't have any coins next to it, it time to dig out your 3ds box.
