I'm still able to play it, but that's not exactly what I miss about it. I was 11/12 when I first played animal crossing for the GameCube. And I remember this game was so magical to me. The villagers felt real to me at that age. I'd play for hours and never get bored! That's what I miss. I'm 20 now and I still love animal crossing, but it's just not anywhere near being the same. Does anyone else feel this way too?

Yes, although I have a little over a decade on you (I was 20 when it came out). I think what you really miss is what I miss, and everyone else....your youth! When life was easier, or more magical, because as we get older, the responsibilities get more and the stress gets more. So even though you loved AC (me too!) you probably also miss the way you felt at that time. The older we get, the more we know, things just change. Hopefully that doesn't sound depressing, haha.

I have considered getting the old console and game, but I haven't because I know it just won't be the same!

Good to know I wasn't the only one in my 20's playing it, although I was nearly 30 when it came out. I got it for the NES games, so I still put it in the GC and play it, even if the most beloved of my villagers is long gone, I can still play old NES games on it, the whole reason I got the dang thing in 2002 originally!
