I love you but....... GET OUT!!

This is a pretty good guide! Although I still see some issues with it under rare occurrences and think dreamies could still be lost in this way...... I think it's safer to confirm no ones moving by talking to ALL villagers until you get two rumor dialogues from two separate villagers to confirm no one is moving. It is possible for the villager who wants to move to still give rumor dialogue and in rare cases not ping you even if you frequently talk to them, I've had it happen quite a few times. Just relying on one villager to spill the news just doesn't seem reliable enough for me. XD I use kind of a variation of the two day method, travel 2 days forward and confirm no ones moving with two villagers, two days forward and confirm with two villagers again, rinse and repeat till someone is moving. I don't travel backwards until I find my mover then either tell them to get out or stay. After this I travel back to my start date and repeat the process again. So the difference is I never time travel backwards until after I have found a mover which saves a lot of TT backwards in between each time you go forward and wasting time.

I've never lost anyone by accident in all 3 of my copies of the game and villagers ask to move frequently so it works very well for me. The problem is Whitney is never one who wants to move. XD

I tried the travel two days then back but i got nothing then i travelled 3 days and back two...i lost Bianca and Rooney that way lol. Of course i didn't want that to happen but i'm at peace with it now. I really want Biff gone...so i'll try your way :o
I havent lost anyone by accident doing it that thread way though it's just..really time consuming. Like can you not? I also have a tip though it might be obvious but when they ping you and i like "I'm moving out on the 9th" don't talk to them again and time travel to that date. I don't know when i tried it out i was so excited i've done it ever since and its like "yaaas it works 100%". Never had mishaps with that either because its already a rumour someone is leaving and as long as they don't go back on their word the second you say "yeahkbye" you're golden. You personally probably know all this but maybe some others don't lol.

Good luck i guess keep being nice to her, letters, chores, in the end she will leave. You gotta beliieevveeeee! I know the pain. Be thankful its something you love. For me it was someone i didn't like AT ALL. Now that is a pain in the butt cause you have to be nice to them for them to move.

Alsoooooo i forgot to mention, talk to them about 10 times until the thinking bubble comes up. I can't remember if that's their on the forum post but that's what i did. All you have to do iss click on them and be like bye like 12 times then roll on over the next day when they have the thinking bubble. Depending on how long you had them they ping you next day. It's happened twice.

ANYWAY good luck....again lol.

omg i invited whitney over from the campsite//but then she wasn't my dreamy and to get my last dreamy i had to move her out

TOOK LIKE 2 HOURS OMG

never again

Rod ;; I have him in my main town and LOVE him. he's a starter in my second town but I have a jock dreamie already and he's in the way of a garden I'm planning ;;

This happened when I was trying to get Ankha into boxes for a trade! What a NIGHTMARE! Turns out that by trying to keep her pristine, I hadn't befriended her enough. Two days of constant attention and she finally pinged. Wow, was I p.o.'ed.

Roald and Jitters. I got Jitters for free from someone on here and I adopted Roald from the campsite. I just loved them both, but their houses are in such inconvenient places and I'm just honestly not a huge fan of the jock personality. So they have to go!

Monty was one of my starting villagers and I started to really like him but I still wanted him gone to make room for dreamies. He finally moved but he still hangs around my downtown. I also started with Panchetti and she was my last starter to finally get the hint and beat it.

Pietro. I think he is adorable, but I needed him to leave because of his unfortunate house placement.

I had beardo as my first move in to my very first town in July of 2013. I was unsure about him at first but he grew on me and we got really close to the point I denied him his moving requests on multiple occasions. But the more I played the more I learned and once I figured out that the move in/move out mechanics were different from previous games and I could fill the town with villagers I actually really wanted I decided it was time for him to go so I could get someone I had always wished for. Other villagers slowly moved away and I brought in dreamie after dreamie, but suddenly beardo never wanted to leave. It got down to a point where I had everyone else in place and most of my town was nearing completion except that I was missing that one last dreamie and beardo was still plopped in the spot I decided I wanted for my last save file. I was so torn because we had had such a good relationship early on, but he had overstayed his welcome and I got frustrated with him. After a few months of trying to get him to leave I gave up and ended up taking a hiatus from that town for like 6 months, from all of my towns actually. When I decided to play again I knew I'd just get frustrated at beardo again and ended up deciding to recreate the town instead of face him. Hardest choice I've made since starting the game... And it was all because of beardo.

I'm so glad I now know how to move villagers out quicker and since restarting and picking up more towns I'm happily picking up dreamies for my fourth town without a hitch after completing dreamie lists for the three I started before it. I still kind of wish I could have gotten beardo to move instead of resorting to a restart, but I really love the towns I have now and he kind of ruined that original town for me.

I had the love-hate relationship with whitney too.. She's one of my starter villagers and i like her quite a lot. But as time goes by, turned out her personality become 90% rude and 10% nice towards me, plus I plan to build a campsite on her house spot, so bye bye~

Also, I got Frobert through somebody's void after a trade. I was really annoyed because I was looking for a dreamie at the time. I still want him out of my town so I can get a snooty (because I don't have any), but I still like his design and house exterior.

What's a void?

oh gods yes...
When I plotted my mayor's home, it was in a quarter of my town completely uninhabited by villagers, and within a week Sprinkles and Cookie plotted right next to my house on both sides. My house was being squashed by two villagers I love... and they were in the worst spot possible. Cookie left recently, opening up some space, by Sprinkles is still there, mocking me out her window everyday when I leave my mayor's house.

Chester, I've had him for two years in my town and HE HASN'T PING ONCE TO MOVE and it's frustrating because while I like Chester, I don't need 3 lazies in my town

This is how I felt with Astrid and Eunice. Luckily they're both gone now, but they had both lived in my town for nearly a year. Neither of them ever wanted to move, either. I am so glad they're gone...
